International Day’18 organization was held on May 9, 2018 at SDKM situated at İTÜ Ayazağa Campus. Throughout the event, international students from 12 countries “Afghanistan, Albania, India, Spain, Greece, Pakistan, Nigeria, Morocco, Bosnia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan” came together and opened a booth in order to display their cultural cloths, items and traditional food. In addition, some students dressed in their nation’s colours and traditional clothing. Participants at the event showed great interest to the displays and everyone listened to the students’ first-hand account of experiences in İstanbul, Turkey. Cultural experiences were also shared.
Moreover, the guests were also given an informative presentation about the ATHENS program and two İTÜ students, who had previously participated in the program, shared their experiences and answered questions. Advisor to Rector and International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Cafer Özkul welcomed the representatives from the Consulates of Azerbaijan, France, and Morocco, and in the presence of İTÜ Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Aydın, they all attended the concert given by the Eurasia Youth Choir.
